More about the speakers:
Stacey Slater is no stranger to global hiring! With a Talent Acquisition career of almost 10 years, and the last seven of those dedicated to scaling global Go-to-Market teams at Nexmo (acquired by Vonage), Onfido and Messagebird, Stacey has first-hand experience leading recruitment teams faced with the challenges and rewards that come with unlocking access to global talent.
With a career carved in fast-growth tech companies, Stacey has combined her passion for connecting humans and desire to share expertise with the joy she gets from enabling others. Now, as Senior Global TA Operations Manager at Oyster, Stacey is focused on designing, building and implementing the tools, programs and processes to enable operational and cross-functional efficiencies, as Oyster continues their mission to create a more equal world, one remote hire at a time.
Milly Parker started her career working in Talent Acquisition, partnering with seed stage to post series C companies across London and the US on global hiring, with a focus on Engineering and other technical roles. As a People Operations Lead at Oyster HR Milly is passionate about using Product thinking to build people processes and experiences that meet the needs of internal customers, and making use of automation to allow products to scale with the company. She has led on projects including building an automated onboarding process, which allowed Oyster to scale from 280 to 700 employees across 70 countries in 18 months, while maintaining 90% employee engagement after 90 days.
Milly is especially passionate about fair and equitable compensation, and enabled this on a global scale by developing modelling that has allowed Oyster to benchmark salaries in more than 180 countries, for all roles across the company, in line with a mission driven compensation philosophy.
Milly obtained a degree in Human, Social and Political Sciences, focused on Biological Anthropology and Human Behaviour from the University of Cambridge, with her research focused on learning about the evolution of humans in island environments using data modelling. This has resulted in a passion for understanding group dynamics and human behaviour through data and analytics, a passion that she uses to gather insights on workplace trends and dynamics.
