Invisible Change and the Art of Authentic Leadership with Brian Evje

Are leaders doing enough to address the emotional impact of their decisions? In this episode, fractional HR advisor Brian Evje joins Chris to unpack the problem of invisible change. While change is an external force, Brian explains, invisible change is an internal struggle – and if it’s ignored or mismanaged, its aftershocks can damage team dynamics for many months to come. However, by engaging with team members, validating their emotions, and accepting that your role is more about stewardship than solutions, you can bolster team cohesion and ultimately find your voice as an authentic leader. Tune in for a masterclass in change management, ethical leadership, and bringing the invisible into the light.

  • Imposter Syndrome Learning to work and live! with it

Imposter Syndrome Learning to work and live! with it

Have you ever questioned your own value, wondered when you'll get 'found out' or felt like an imposter? You are not alone.

On this webinar we are joined by Lauren Harrop, International Talent Acquisition Partner at D2L and Founder of The Recruitment Imposter Network.

Recruitment is Lauren's passion, but on the occasions that she cannot find that unicorn, she has felt an imposter mindset creep in. In this raw and vulnerable session, Lauren will give you insights into where her imposter came from, how she manages this (some days are better than others) and reassurance that you are not alone.

Lauren will also share her insights into speaking at RecFest and how that accelerated her imposter, yet tamed it at the same time.

What you will get from this session:

    * Strategies and Ideas on how to manage your imposter syndrome

    * An understanding on how a growth mindset can support you to be the best version of yourself, both at home and in work

    * Lauren will share an invite to a network of TA specialists who feel (or have felt) imposter syndrome to help you know that you are not alone

    More about the speaker:

After 14 years in recruitment it was time Lauren made her voice heard. She is a recruiter at heart but struggles immensely with imposter syndrome and the constant feeling of ‘not good enough’ or being found out that she is a 'fraud'. Lauren is currently a fully remote employee working for a Canadian Education Technology company and has felt the onset of imposter syndrome a struggle more than ever, but equally have found talking about it helps me to cope with it.

Lauren has spoken at RecFest 2023 about Imposter Syndrome and is the Founder of The Recruitment Imposter Network.

  • Inclusive Hiring: 12 ways to minimise biases in hiring

Inclusive Hiring: 12 ways to minimise biases in hiring

We all hold inherently embedded biases that influence our decisions and actions, especially when it comes to interviewing, recruiting, and hiring. Often, these biases are so deeply ingrained that we don’t even realise they’re there! They manifest themselves in the systems and processes we build, the processes we follow, the questions we ask, and the way we act... inadvertently creating barriers to "diverse talent".

In this webinar, Dani Herrera, Intentional DE&I Consultant, will dive deep into manual, tech, and systematic ways to minimise bias and create inclusive, equitable, and accessible hiring processes. We’ll uncover some of the hidden biases in our hiring processes and learn practical strategies to minimise them.

What you will get from this session:

    * A deeper understanding of some of the hidden biases in hiring processes and learn practical strategies to minimise them

    * Knowledge of how you can minimise bias and create inclusive, equitable, and accessible hiring processes

    * Strategies to identify non-inclusive practices in your current hiring processes and redesign those systems with equity, accessibility, and inclusion at the forefront.

    More about the speaker:

Dani Herrera is an award-winning, bilingual Latina immigrant radically committed to helping others become more intentionally inclusive. She is committed to building cultures that attract and retain diverse talent, strategies that foster inclusion and belonging, processes that minimise biases, and systems that elevate historically excluded voices and talent, especially the immigrant and Latine communities.

Among many other things, she is a Consultant, a Trainer, and a Speaker. She is also the Awareness and Advocacy Founding Partner at Allies in Recruiting, one of the Founding Members at The Talent Equity Alliance, a Career Coach and Mentor, and a Content Creator. And she was also selected to join the NASA Astrophysics IDEA Practitioners Database.
